Brief on the Arctic: Canada must hold its Arctic and build its northern alliance with Greenland and Iceland
Hello,
I demand that the Government of Canada put the Northwest Passage, the Beaufort Sea boundary and the continental shelf on the table with the United States now, with a date for a result on each, and build a northern partnership with Greenland and Iceland. All 3 open questions of Canada's Arctic sovereignty are with the United States.
The attached brief is submitted under the order of reference on foreign relations and international trade generally. The same brief goes to the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development of the House of Commons.
Distribute the attached brief to the members, and confirm the date of distribution in writing by 30 October 2026.
Respectfully,
Danilo Dzyuban
